On Tuesday my class went to koru games if you don’t know what koru games is its where you get to pick what sport you want to play and compete against other people from different schools. I chose to do football because I love playing it, its so much fun and a great sport to play I’m also really good at football and I didn’t really know what other sports to play but football.

We got to koru games and we had to drive all the way to Rolleston park we first had to do the opening ceremony then as soon as that finished we had are first football game. we tied the first game and the second game we lost then our last game we won!

the next day we had four games and we won a game then won another lost then won!

and Finley the last day we lost one and won one then we had a game with the boys Rawhiti team vs the girls Rawhiti team and even the teachers joined in and of course the girls won! but overall I had so much fun and I know my team did to!

Today me and my literacy group went to go see the science fair we have been working on making all different kinds of science  stuff I chose to make elephant toothpaste with my friend Elouise. There were all different kinds of stuff there, There were marble runs, People made soap, people made concrete, and displayed broads, Showing their work that’s what I did. It was so weird but cool seeing my work in the science fair I’m so proud of myself for completing my work!

On Wednesday June 26 our class got the opportunity to go in town and watch the ice maiden, it was about this girl called Lisa Blair who sailed around Antarctica solo! We watched her whole experience. Lisa wanted people to know about climate change and what was happening out in the ocean all the rubbish that was there so she made her boat about climate change and off she went.

She had a  hard time she went through big storms and huge waves like mountains, but she was determinant and she didn’t want to give up,  people thought that she couldn’t do it, they were like no way she is gonna do that, but she didn’t want people to think that so she showed them what she had, and she proved them wrong. She came home and did it again she has done at least broken  7 world records.  We got to meet her after the movie it was like meeting a celebratory  it was a amazing experience and I hope to do it again some time.

for literary we did a what if challenge where you had to write down a sentence eg what if there the floor was lava. then you would flood it and put it in a hat then pick it out.

this is my story

                                                       What if cats could fly

This one girl called Bella had a cat that she loved very much but sadly that was the only thing she had in her life. It was just her and her cat. The cat’s name was called Stella. She called her that so that their names would match. One night this boy always came to see Stella’s cat. His name was Will. She didn’t know the name. He would never say a word to her, he would just pat the cat then walk away, pretty weird she always thought.

“Come on stella let’s go find some food ,abye someone nice will give as some food” 

The cat followed Bella then out of nowhere that same boy came up to the cat and bella and gives them some food he gave bella a donut and stella some cat food 

“Thank you, thank you so much you do not know how much this means to me and my cat hey i never got your name?” 

The boy finally said something he said “ it’s sam” 

“Nice to meet you sam im bella and my cats name is stella!”  

Sam walked away and left without saying more than his name. The next morning bella woke up to find her cat missing

“Stella STELLA WHERE ARE YOU!! On no this is so bad what if she is hurt omg this can’t be happening” bella said in a very sad voice 

But then bella looks up in the sky to find her cat FLYING she couldn’t believe her eyes she tries to get her down but she just can’t but stella looked happy she didn’t look sacred at all and then another cat is flying up in the sky then another and another until all the cats in the whole world flew up in the sky but then someone taps stella’s shoulder she trunks around and it’s sam

“OMG SAM please help me my cat and so much more cats are flying if you can’t see”

He says this weird thing it’s like a spell? Then all the cats went back down to their owners hands and at last they were all saved and safe. 

The next day sam hands over a key to bella and he says “its for you, its a house key its not that much but if you ever need anything else just call me” 

“THANK YOU SO MUCH but I don’t have a phone” 

“Don’t worry about it it’s the least i can do and there will be everything you need in the house including a phone”

Everyone was watching Mia hamm. She  had to score this goal. She was  running with all her  might  with only 5 seconds left 5, 4, 3, 2, SCORE!!. She knew that she was going to play football  for life. Mia hamm has scored 158 goals in her interior life! She first started playing football at 5 years old. Sadly Mia Hamm retired in 2004 but then she became a coach of the Academy in 2014 with the first team Football.  

                                                                     About her family

Mia hamm’s husband name is nomar garciaparra, she had beautiful  twins as well called ava and grace she also directed to have another kid and his name is Garrett. Her parents’ names are Bill and  Stephanie Hamm. 

                                           How she became a football player

Her father coached Mia and her newly adopted brother, 8-year-old Garrett. Hamm played sports from a young age and excelled as a football player on the boys’ team at junior high school. She played at the 1987 U.S. Olympic Festival, the youngest player to play for the United States women’s national soccer team.

Over her career, she accumulated substantial income through salaries, merchandise sales, endorsements, and bonuses. Following her international playing days, she ventured into professional soccer in Europe, earning noteworthy amounts ranging from $200,000 to $450,000 per season with club teams which is a crazy lot of money!

After Mia Hamm retired from professional soccer, several things happened: Hamm received the Honda-Broderick Award as the most outstanding female athlete. Hamm was appointed international ambassador for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Hamm was a founding player in the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA). 

                                                                    Conclusion

Mia Hamm was a great football player and sadly had to stop playing because she was getting too old to play but then she became a coach. Football isn’t just a sport you can meet new people and connect with others and you can learn new skills and new talents! Even if you find football hard don’t give up your dream and keep trying and you will get there just like Mia Hamm did and look at her now proud of herself for making football her dream.

for Literary  Talei wanted us to write our own Article  about something we liked or were passionate about, and I choose football because I love playing it and Mia hamm is like one of my favorite woman’s football player, so I choose her.

I  had to learn about her a bit more so I did research and found out some important things about her. We had to learn about writing our own conclusion and heading, paragraphs. I enjoyed writing my own Article it was interesting and fun!

This term I have been part of the theater group. we did all kinds of things like playing games and doing plays for the play we did red riding hood. for me I didn’t really enjoy it but i think it’s because i didn’t really try to have fun so maybe next time ill try better and harder.  We did games like we had to make shapes like the washing machine, a star, and lots more, we also played this game called whoosh and lap lap clap snap. they were kinda fun but in the end it was all right.
